In keeping with the Catholic philosophy of education for the whole person, students are actively encouraged to participate in a number of activities that are extra to the classroom curriculum.

At St Edward's, we place a high level of importance in supporting activities which keep our students active. We promote activities which have elements of participation as well as providing opportunities for all students regardless of ability.
Swimming |
An Interhouse Swimming Carnival is held in Term 1. This involves students from Years 3-6. |
Cross Country |
All students are involved in the Interhouse Cross Country which is held in Term 2. |
Athletics |
In Term 2 or Term 3, Interhouse Athletics Carnivals are held for students in Prep - Year 2 and Years 3-6. This involves both track and field events. |
Gala Days |
Students in Year 4, 5 and 6 participate in a friendly competition against other local Catholic schools. Various sports (e.g. Australian Rules, Touch, Korfball, Zoned Soccer, European Handball and Cricket) are offered. Students nominate the sport they wish to play and will practice every week at school in the weeks leading up to the Gala Day. |

School Choir |
Our School Choir has a long history of success at various eisteddfods across South-east Queensland. The choir is formed by students from Years 4 to 6 who regularly learn and practice the art of singing and performing in the lead up to a number of eisteddfods throughout the year. |
Music Program |
Instrumental Music Lessons are offered in percussion, violin, and keyboard. Music Corp is responsible for this program. |
Guitar |
Guitar lessons from beginners to advanced classes are conducted weekly. |
